TJP Retains, Josh Alexander Becomes No. 1 Contender for X-Division Championship

After surviving a Triple Threat Revolver Match at Impact’s No Surrender, Josh Alexander is the No.1 Contender for the X-Division Championship held by TJP.

The X-Division Championship was also defended during the event, with TJP retaining after pinning Rohit Raju.

Eight men competed in the Triple Threat Revolver Match for a chance at the X-Division Championship. The match started with Trey Miguel vs. Blake Christian vs. Suicide.

Miguel got Suicide to tap out to his hourglass submission, which led to Chris Bey coming in. Bey was able to pin Christian, which led to Daivari coming in.

Daivari was pinned by Miguel, which led to Alexander coming in and tapping out Bey. Bey was replaced by Willie Mack, who was pinned by Trey and replaced by Ace Austin.

The final three, Alexander, Miguel, and Austin exchanged blows until Alexander was able to hit a death valley piledriver on Austin to pin him and win the match.

Alexander was previously more known for his work as a tag team wrestler, being part of The North with Ethan Page. The North held the Impact World Tag Team championship twice for a combined reign of 401 days.

Page left the company in January and Alexander is now intent on making his way as a singles competitor, hence his pursuit of the X-Division Championship.
