WWE reinstated pro-wrestling legend Hulk Hogan into their Hall Of Fame in July and the wrestling business has gone wild on the matter ever since.
Several years ago, Hogan made some racially insensitive comments (where he used the n-word numerous times) and things went further south when his sex tape was leaked online. WWE fired hims instantly and removed him from their prestigious Hall Of Fame.
However, last month, prior to the WWE’s Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, Hogan issued an apology to the entire locker room and was officially back with the company.
Although Hogan is back in WWE, one question that has popped up every single day is what his role with the company be down the line.
IMPACT Wrestling star and TNA Original, Abyss, who has worked with The Hulkster in the past, recently expressed his opinion on WWE reinstating the former WCW legend into their ever-glorious Hall of Fame.
In an interview with Wrestling Epicenter, The Monster said that he is “thrilled” to see the 12-time World Champion back in the WWE Hall Of Fame:
“I’m thrilled about it. I’m so happy for him. I know how much it means for him to be back in the Hall of Fame. I got to know him really, really well when Hulk was working for Impact Wrestling. We became close, we became friends.
“We still talk. A lot of the things that happened were unfortunate. A lot of the things that happened were not good. I think he was truly apologetic. I think he truly feels sorry about it.
“I think he’s taken his rightful place back in the WWE Hall of Fame and back in wrestling history. I think that means more to him than anything in the world.”
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross had earlier said that The Hulkster might get a PR role in WWE and that the said role would motivate the WCW/WWE/TNA legend “to make himself better“.
