Tony Schiavone Addresses Possible AEW Future of Jay White and Erick Redbeard

AEW Commentator Tony Schiavone spoke about the recent rumors of two wrestlers, Jay White and Erick Redbeard, coming to AEW.

Speaking during the AEW Dynamite Post Show, Schiavone seemingly shot down rumors that Jay White would be going to AEW.

“I don’t think so,” said Schiavone when asked by a fan. “I think he’s pretty much locked into what he’s doing there (in Japan).”

White, who is currently with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), sparked intense speculation that he would be moving back to the United States and joining either AEW or WWE after his loss at Wrestle Kingdom 15.

Schiavone also spoke about Erick Redbeard, who formerly wrestled in WWE as Erick Rowan, who appeared on AEW Dynamite two weeks ago as part of the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life.

Redbeard and Lee were part of the Wyatt Family and wrestled as the tag team, The Bludgeon Brothers, in WWE, as well as being good friends in real life.

According to Schiavone, Redbeard’s appearance was a one-off and he was not a member of the AEW roster. He did not, however, rule out Redbeard making an appearance in the future.

“Who knows? He might show up tomorrow,” he added.
