WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome witnessed The Undertaker making his return to the ring following previous year’s loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. The Phenom finally answered to 16-time World Champion John Cena’s call at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals and destroyed Cena with some quick work, a Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver in a match that lasted less than three minutes. The Deadman again came back to battle Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Not only did ‘Taker bury Rusev comfortably, he also put Rusev’s ally, Aiden English in the casket along with The Bulgarian Brute.
In an interview with Sky Sports before the event in Jeddah, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque said that The Phenom has “earned the right” to decide when he competes and confirmed he currently “feels great”.
“If there’s one person who has earned the right to call the shot the way they want it to be called, it’s The Undertaker,” The Game said. “When he’s in a position like he is right now, where he feels great, he wants to be out there and show The Undertaker to the world.
But it really comes down to what he wants to do, as it should.”
It is to be noted that the WWE Universe has claimed that The Undertaker seemed to be in great shape both at WrestleMania 34 and at the Greatest Royal Rumble in comparison to his form from WrestleMania 33.
