Triple H and Shawn Michaels rolled back the years as DX reunited and took on The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel. It was a match that was full of botches but was built around the nostalgia of having four of the biggest legends in WWE history back in the ring for one last hoorah.

Both Michaels and Triple H took a lot of abuse throughout the match and at one point Triple H was put through the announce table by The Undertaker and was took out of the match for a prolonged period of time.

DX endured the abuse to pick up the win over BOD but following the match, it was revealed by WWE that Triple H had suffered a torn pectoral muscle and will now be forced to return to the United States to undergo surgery to fix what has been diagnosed as a torn muscle.

WWE gave the following update on their official website:

“During the epic showdown between D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel, Triple H sustained what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle, has learned.”

It is thought that the injury occurred near the beginning of the match when The Game took a tumble over the top rope and out to the floor. Obviously, he was able to continue the match despite being in pain and helped his team pick up the win.

This does throw a lot of doubt into future matches for Triple H, who will definitely miss out on this year’s Survivor Series but could be recovered in time to be part of The Royal Rumble in January.
