Triple H Unaware Of Recent Call-Ups
WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who is also regarded as The Godfather of NXT was himself unaware of the entire call-up scenario.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed:
“Basically he [Vince] wanted to get wrestlers on RAW now and so you know he’s not that up on NXT, but it was essentially, ‘Who are the four best guys?’ These are the four best guys, I guess.”
“Triple H didn’t know. There was a communication thing there. So he just wanted those four guys. I’m not sure whether he picked them or whether he was told that these are the guys.”
The Undertaker Reportedly Lobbying WWE For More Money
The Undertaker is set to appear at Starrcast II during All Elite Wrestling‘s Double Or Nothing weekend in Las Vegas.
The 7-time World Champion has also changed his name to “The Dead Man” to avoid trademark issues with WWE.
On Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast, Brad Shepard discussed how The Phenom is possibly lobbying for more dough from WWE.
“The Undertaker is making ‘money moves’ I am told and is probably lobbying for a new deal hence the Starrcast appearance.”
“When push comes to shove it’s still more likely than not that he will show his face at WrestleMania and maybe even possibly do a quick match.”
Why Vince McMahon Called Up NXT Superstars This Week
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed the reason behind Vince McMahon debuting Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black and Ricochet this week on RAW.
It seems All Elite Wrestling has played a big role in The Chairman’s decision-making process.
“Vince is reacting to the ratings. I think there is a reaction to AEW.”
“He felt that the reason the ratings are down is because the product is stale. You know the stars are stale and it’s like ‘we don’t have any Superstars and these guys that we have aren’t gonna be Superstars so we need to make new superstars so we gotta get guys that we haven’t ruined.’”
