This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live witnessed “The Queen” Charlotte Flair defeat SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella to rightfully earn a spot in the Smackdown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam. Backstage, Becky Lynch didn’t look happy as she watched the Flair’s victory scene on the monitor.

Earlier in the show, The Miz and Daniel Bryan were involved in a worked-shoot segment where both Superstar fired “personal” shots on each other. Bryan brought up The A Lister’s Hollywood career saying he could never match the likes of The Rock or John Cena in terms of acting. The Miz fired back saying that the “YES” movement is now in the rearview mirror and that Bryan should let his WWE contract expire to leave for the indies and perform in front of a bunch of people. Although Bryan wanted a match against The Miz at SummerSlam, the latter did not seem to be on the same page. It appears that WWE might add the match soon or could continue teasing fans by holding back this epic bout for WrestleMania 35.
