Seven-time WWE Women’s Champion and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is returning to in-ring action just in time to participate in the first all-women’s pay-per-view WWE Evolution (October 28).
It was announced on WWE.com that Stratus will be returning during WWE Evolution to face the current Raw Women’s Champion and self-proclaimed Goddess of the WWE, Alexa Bliss.
Stratus officially retired in 2006 after seven years in the business. She came out of retirement for the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble Match (January 28).
The WWE Evolution match versus Bliss will be Stratus’ first match since the aforementioned Women’s Royal Rumble Match. It will also mark the first time that Bliss and Stratus will face off against each other as Bliss had not been a part of the Women’s Royal Rumble.
While the Goddess will no-doubt be cutting some promos leading up to Evolution about how “unworthy” a has-been like Trish is to face her, outside the ring, Bliss has previously named Stratus as a dream opponent.
While Bliss is currently the Raw Women’s Champion, it remains to be seen if she will still be the champion when she faces Stratus. Bliss is set to defend the championship against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam (October 19).

WWE Evolution is going to be held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Currently, the Bliss vs. Stratus match is only the second match that has been officially announced for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view. The only other match that has been officially announced for this particular pay-per-view is the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament.
