The Bound For Glory pay-per-view saw all of Impact’s major titles being defended. By the time the event ended, there were two major title changes.
The Impact Wrestling World Championship was on the line as Eric Young faced off against Rich Swann.
This was a bit of a grudge match as earlier this year Young had badly injured Swann, almost causing him to retire. Since Swann has returned, he has been antagonizing Young in an attempt to get to the man and earn a shot at the title.
Swann was successful in both his goals, goading Young into a match that he won, making him the new Impact World Champion.
The Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Championships were on the line in a four-way match during this event.
The defending champions The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) took on The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows), The North (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander), and the team of Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.
The eventual winners were the North, after they took out Shelley with a piledriver, forcing Sabin to continue on his own. Page then got a belt shot on Anderson while the referee was distracted, and Alexander pinned him.
