Two of the yellow and black brand’s women superstars are reportedly dealing with injuries this week.
Attendees of an NXT live event held in Fort Pierce, Florida are reporting that Rachael Ellering was injured in the ring.
Ellering had a match with Lacey Lane that night and was reported to have hurt her knee. According to fans in attendance, the match was stopped and medical staff came in to check on Ellering. Ellering then needed help to get to backstage.
While there is no official word on what happened or to the extent of Ellering’s injury, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that she “blew out” her knee.
Ellering trained at Lance Storm’s Storm Wrestling Academy and had her WWE debut on NXT back in April 2016. She had a few more matches in NXT and was in both Mae Young Classic tournaments before finally getting signed this January.
Meanwhile, another NXT Superstar, Karen Q announced her injury via her social media.
Q was part of the current NXT Road Trip series of live matches. She had teamed with Bianca Belair against Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzales at an event in Atlanta, Georgia. There are no reports of Q being injured during the match.
According to Q’s tweet, she won’t be able to continue on the NXT Road Trip as she has broken her leg. She sends out her love to her family, friends, and coworkers but does not give any details as to how she suffered the injury or how long she will be out of action.
Q is a Chinese-American wrestler who made her WWE debut at the second Mae Young Classic and was signed to the WWE this February.
