Ric Flair is one of the dirtiest players in the game and easily one of the most entertaining stars in the history of WWE. His career has spanned more than three decades but following his 70th Birthday, it appears that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is hoping to make a return.

Ahead of the trip to Saudi Arabia back in October, it appears that Flair was cleared to return to the ring, but the planned segment involving Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair was nixed by Vince McMahon.

The former 16-time World Champion has returned to the ring a number of times but it’s thought that if WWE gave him one last match, this would be his final bow.

Flair gave an update on his current health condition on a recent appearance on the WINCLY podcast, where he revealed that he was medically cleared ahead of Crown Jewel.

“I feel great. I was just with friends a couple of weeks ago, and it’s taken a few years, but I’m back to normal. I’m better than I was prior to getting sick. So, certainly, someone’s been watching over me and taking care of me. I got cleared medically to do something in Saudi and then Vince nixed it. If I would have fed Roman in that huge comeback he made or tapped Hogan, that would have been the coup de gras,”

Ric Flair’s last storyline in WWE dates back to earlier this year when he was attacked on Raw by Batista, which set up a feud between Batista and Triple H heading into last year’s WrestleMania. This was also Batista’s WWE retirement match. As of writing, it is unknown as to whether or not Flair will make his WWE return, but WWE now has another option heading into next year’s WrestleMania.
