Undertaker Cries Talking About His Wife In New Video Interview

The Undertaker gave a recent, candid video interview with Ed Young of the Fellowship Church of Grapevine, Texas.

This isn’t the first time that the Undertaker, speaking as his real life persona of Mark Callaway has spoken to the pastor, who is a known wrestling fan. You can check out an interview he gave with Young last year here.

As we noted back then, Callaway doesn’t really give interviews out of character or speak much about the business or his personal life. He made an exception for Young then and now. As even Young gleefully notes in the title of the video, he “made the Undertaker cry”.

Undertaker choked up when Young asked him about his wife Michelle McCool. According to Callaway, meeting her really changed his life.

“As you get exposed to a lot of different things because of what you do, I lived a pretty excessive lifestyle. I wasn’t living my life for god. Somehow, I met her. I actually get a little choked up. She is awesome,” Callaway told Pastor Young.

The “serious” moment was broken up by an audience member who shouted “I love you, Mark.”

“I love you too, man. Thanks, I needed that. You saved me. I was about to lose my whole character,” quipped Callaway.

He then proceeded to talk about how McCool and he had met. According to Callaway, she had originally been terrified of both him and Kane.

What he noticed about her, aside from her beauty was that she had a great work ethic. He found her interesting enough that he broke his own motto of not dating people at work.

“She has this unbelievable work ethic. She would get to the arenas early. She would pick their brains and get them to work on her character. That caught my eye,” said Callaway.

Of course, Callaway was also asked about his wrestling career. While he has been mostly retired for a while now, only showing up during WrestleMania, last year was actually quite an active one.

Aside from WrestleMania, he also wrestled twice during the Saudi Arabia pay-per-views, a schedule that he admitted was exhausting and didn’t really want to repeat.

“Hopefully this year I’m a little smarter with what I do because those weren’t really fun,” said Callaway.

While there has been no word if The Undertaker will make his usual WrestleMania appearance this year that does sound like a hint that we might still see him in the ring this 2019. It all depends on what exactly a “lighter schedule” might look like.
