Brock Lesnar was pinned by Roman Reigns back at SummerSlam and after losing his Universal Championship to The Big Dog, Lesnar has been missing from WWE TV.

There were various reports regarding Lesnar’s WWE status and whether or not he would sign a new contract with the company ahead of SummerSlam, but he has seemingly switched his focus back to UFC following his loss.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Lesnar is currently training with a view to a match against Daniel Cormier.

”Brock Lesnar has not signed for a fight with Daniel Cormier at this moment, but he is training right now with that in mind,” he said via NODQ.

Lesnar was in attendance for UFC 226 a few months ago where he and Cormier went on to have a showdown following his win over Stipe Miocic and since it has been made obvious that the two men will meet in the Octagon, even though the match is yet to be signed.

Lesnar has been written off WWE TV since Kurt Angle refused to give Paul Heyman a rematch for his client the night after SummerSlam, but there will always be the hint that Lesnar does still have a rematch clause and if he wishes to return to the company at any point in the future then this could be activated.

It’s reported that Roman Reigns could be set to have a lengthy Universal Championship reign, so The Big Dog will be looking over his shoulder for Lesnar the entire time he has that belt around his waist.

Lesnar isn’t someone who has Social Media or shares his thoughts with the WWE Universe so his current mindset is unknown, but he has wanted to return to UFC for a while and it appears that he is finally getting his wish and WWE will have to fill in the cracks without him until he’s ready to step back into the ring.
