Nia Jax is a former RAW Women’s Champion but the fact that she has been built up as a beast has been somewhat overshadowed since the arrival of Ronda Rousey. J
ax won the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania before she then lost the title back to Alexa Bliss at Money In The Bank and was unable to regain it in the contractual rematch that she was given at Extreme Rules.
Since her loss, Nia has been noticeably absent from RAW, since every female wrestler aside from Jax on the Raw roster was used on this week’s episode.
Whilst the former NXT star has denied that she’s injured, PWInsider noted this week that she was spotted at the WWE Performance Centre undergoing physical therapy for a leg injury.
This is a positive update since many fans believed that Jax had requested time off once again because she was unhappy with her WWE status, but she could now be looking at Evolution next month as the perfect place to make an impactful return.
Jax recently revealed that her dream opponent for the show would be WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix and since she has already been announced for the show and doesn’t yet have a scheduled opponent, this would be the perfect match for Nia to return as part of and be able to pick up where she left off.
Jax has often been defined by her family heritage and many fans believe that this is why WWE is reluctant to let her leave, but Jax has much more to give in the ring, she just hasn’t been given the opportunity to shine and right now she is stuck in the shadow of Ronda Rousey, which is why a move over to SmackDown would be a fantastic plan for her.
