John Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since The Greatest Royal Rumble back in April since his personal life has taken center stage in recent months and the former 16-time World Champion has remained out of the wrestling spotlight.

Cena wrestled The Undertaker in what was deemed a fantasy match back at WrestleMania, but the match was much shorter than many of the WWE Universe expected. This has led to speculation that the former Champion could return to the company for the first time in three months to take on The Deadman at next month’s SummerSlam event.

The Undertaker is currently booked for the Australia Super Show-Down event in October, but as of right now neither he nor Cena are booked for SummerSlam.

Dave Meltzer recently stated that it is rumored that Cena will be part of the show, even though he didn’t elaborate on his opponent.

Despite Meltzer obviously remaining coy about what WWE has planned for both Undertaker and John Cena in the near future, @TicketDrew, who has broken a number of high profile WWE stories in recent weeks, once again confirmed that both men would be part of the event despite everything in WWE right now pointing to the opposite.

We are now less than a month from ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’ and many of the biggest matches for the show have already been announced, it is unknown where this leaves Cena and Undertaker in WWE’s plans right now since neither man has been advertised to be returning to TV in the coming weeks and neither has been seen as part of any of  the promotion for SummerSlam either.
