Kevin Owens was last seen on WWE TV the week after WWE Super Show-Down back in October when he was attacked following his match with Bobby Lashley and was written off WWE TV.
Owens is a former Universal Champion and it was reported at the time that he had been working with a knee injury, something that was later fixed by double knee surgery.
Reports have since suggested that Owens could be sidelined until WrestleMania season this year, but Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer stated that Owens should be ready to return to the ring by February but the company could decide to wait off on bringing him back to the ring until WrestleMania.
Sami Zayn has been sidelined since Money in the Bank and he’s also expected to make his return in the build up to WrestleMania 35, which means that Owens and Zayn could be looking to return at the same time so that they can once again be seen working together on WWE TV.
Owens had needed surgery for a number of months, since he was reportedly working with leg injuries, but at the time WWE needed him to be part of the show.
Raw has missed Owens and Zayn over the past few months, especially since Roman Reigns was forced to walk away just weeks later and Braun Strowman then needed surgery on a pre-existing elbow injury.
Raw has been hit by a number of injuries over the past few months and this has affected both ratings and audience numbers, so the company will be pleased that Owens will be ready to make his return in the build-up to WrestleMania, since he ‘s one of their most popular stars.
