NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream will be appearing in two shows for indie wrestling promotion Evolve Wrestling, but don’t worry, it’s not because he’s been “future endeavored” by the WWE.
Instead, it seems like this is just the latest evidence of cooperation between the WWE and Evolve.
News of Velveteen Dream’s appearance at EVOLVE shows was first broken by EVOLVE on Twitter last Thursday (August 30)
NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream will wrestle at EVOLVE on Sept. 7th in Joppa, MD and Sept. 8th in Queens, NY. His opponents will be announced soon at https://t.co/Qmj9BTL7XJ. Tickets available at: https://t.co/zHiIkcVF6J

The news of Velveteen Dream’s scheduled appearances in Evolve was then followed by an announcement on WWE.com about who exactly the NXT Superstar would be facing on those two shows.
According to the announcement, Velveteen Dream will first be facing Austin Theory in a match at EVOLVE 112. This match will occur on September 7, at the MCW Arena in Joppa, Maryland.
Velveteen Dream’s next match for EVOLVE will occur the following night, September 8, at La Boom in Queens, New York. This time, he will be facing off at Darby Allin.
Velveteen Dream is the second NXT star this year to make an appearance in an EVOLVE ring. Back in June, then NXT North American champion Adam Cole defended his title at EVOLVE 107 against EVOLVE star Walter.
All in all, it’s going to be a busy week for Velveteen Dream as, before his EVOLVE appearances, he is set to face Johnny Gargano in the NXT ring.
Last Wednesday (August 29), Dream and Gargano exchanged words in the ring. Dream dubbed Gargano “Johnny Failure” and the two almost went at it before GM William Regal stepped in. Regal then announced that the two would get a chance to officially settle matters in the ring, making a match between the two for September 5.
