Viking Raiders Teases Return, Targets SmackDown Tag Team Championship

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles changed hands this Friday on the latest episode of SmackDown.

The newly named “Dirty Dawgs”, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, defeated the Street Profits to win their first SmackDown Tag Team Championships. They previously held the Raw Tag Team Championships.

The Dawgs’ victory has drawn the attention of another tag team currently on hiatus due to injuries.

The Viking Raiders, who have been out of action for several months, responded to a WWE post on Instagram promoting Ziggler and Roode’s win.

Many people believe that these “cryptic” comments are teasing that the duo has recovered and ready to return, and they have their sights set on the SmackDown Tag Team titles.

Though the Viking Raiders were drafted to Raw at the 2020 WWE Draft in October, they were already off the TV, dealing with their injuries. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that they could show up on SmackDown instead.

The Raiders were taken off TV last September when Ivar needed neck surgery. With his tag team partner out of action, Erick decided to have elective surgery in the meantime.
