On the recent Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer had some very interesting things to say about Big Cass. Of course, he has been out of action for a while due to an injury, but he made his return in the superstar shakeup and right away went for Danial Bryan.

Dave Meltzer said,

I don’t think we’re going to be able to avoid [Big Cass vs Daniel Bryan] but I could see [Big Cass’ teaming up with The Miz] but I could also see them hooking him up with Nakamura like they did on the show tonight. So they could do that as a heel team.”

The WWE has clearly seen something in Big Cass since he was called up from NXT along with Enzo Amore around two years ago. The WWE actually teased Big Cass as a singles wrestler when they had him compete in a Fatal 4 Way match for the WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on an episode of RAW in 2016. Big Cass got a pretty warm reception from the fans in this match and the WWE clearly took note of that.

A heel turn followed when he would turn his back on Enzo… although to be fair many people thought Big Cass was a hero for doing what he did! In all seriousness, Big Cass has the look that the WWE love and putting him with people like Danial Bryan, The Miz, and Shinsuke Nakamura can only help his in-ring skills.
