John Cena seems like he has been on the verge of breaking Ric Flair’s 16 world titles for quite some time now. Cena, a 16 time world champion himself could be about to do just that at Fastlane!

John Cena had his Road To WrestleMania derailed when he did not win the Elimination Chamber. This led to him invoking his free agent status (still not really sure exactly how that works) and moving to Smackdown so he could earn his way onto WrestleMania.

Well after a match on this week’s Smackdown with AJ Styles (not one of the better matches from these two) resulted in John Cena earning his way into the WWE Championship match at the upcoming Fastlane!

So the main event of Fastlane will now see AJ Styles defending his WWE title against, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin and now John Cena. This has all the makings of one hell of a match and adding John Cena to the mix just makes it even more unpredictable.

The Road To WrestleMania this year is very interesting in that the WWE has not really given themselves much time to really do a whole lot with John Cena. No matter what you would think that by the end of Fastlane we will know exactly what his role at WrestleMania will be.

Some fans may not want a record that has stood for this long to be broken, but in all fairness, if there is one guy that deserves to break it. Considering the blood, sweat, tears and years and years of entertainment, he has given us you would not find many more deserving than John Cena.
