Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE, is the genius behind the prominent rise of wrestling all around the world.
Back when he inherited WWE from his father, Vince McMahon Sr., nobody knew the third-generation wrestling promoter will take the company to groundbreaking success.
According to a recent report, WWE has signed a deal with Netflix to make a documentary on Vince McMahon. It isn’t the same biopic that was once slated to be made on him. That project is apparently nixed.
The new multi-part series will see Bill Simmons working as the executive producer, while Chris Smith will be the director.
These were announced by WWE’s President and Chief Revenue Officer, Nick Khan, during the company’s Q3 earnings call with the investors.
According to Dave Meltzer, this documentary will have a huge budget in comparison to other Netflix projects.
Currently, a release date hasn’t been announced but if all goes right, we can expect the documentary to be released in late 2021 or early 2022, although this is merely a speculation.
