WWE Crown Jewel takes place live from Saudi Arabia next Thursday night and will see a number of interesting matches take place, but WWE has recently announced two new matches for their trip to the Middle East.
The company announced on its official website that there will now be a 20-man Battle Royal where the winner of the match will go on to face AJ Styles for the United States Championship later in the night.
WWE has included a battle royal style match at two of its three trips to Saudi Arabia but none have had any kind of reward at the end of the match. The United States Championship is one of the most lucrative in the company and given that it is currently around the waist of AJ Styles, the winner could be part of one of the matches of the night.
The WWE Crown Jewel card was already stacked since it included the hotly anticipated rematch between Seth Rollins and The Fiend over the Universal Championship. This time the duo does battle in a Falls Count Anywhere match where the referee no longer has the power to stop the match.
Team Flair and Team Hogan will go head to head as Bobby Lashley, King Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and Shinsuke Nakamura will face off against Rusev, Roman Reigns, Ricochet, Shorty G and Ali. Brock Lesnar puts the WWE Championship on the line against the debuting Cain Velasquez, while Tyson Fury battles Braun Strowman in his WWE debut.
Super ShowDown’s battle royal winner Mansoor returns to battle Cesaro and nine different tag teams will collide to crown the Best Tag Team in the World. There are currently eight matches officially on the card for the show, with more expected to be added before the show goes live on Halloween next week.
