WWE Announces First-Ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal

On the March 12th episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE officially announced to host the first-ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 to pay tribute to the former WWF Women’s Champion, who passed away on November 2, 2007. Mary Lillian Ellison, better known by her ring-name The Fabulous Moolah was the first woman to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 1995. She also became the oldest champion in the history of professional wrestling by becoming the WWF Women’s Champion in 1999 at the age of 76.

During the video presentation, it was stated that female wrestlers from RAW, SmackDown Live and NXT would be eligible to compete in the first-ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal.

WWE has been hosting the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania ever since 2014 and the Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal seems to be the female counterpart of the men’s battle royal.
