WWE Announces Live Show In Uruguay This December

This is the first live event WWE will have in this South American country

Fans of professional wrestling in the South American country of Uruguay are in for a treat this December as they get a chance to see some of the hottest WWE superstars live.

In a press release on WWE.com, the WWE officially announced the first live WWE show to ever be held in Uruguay. The show, called WWE Live Montevideo, is held in partnership with the largest independent concert promoter in Latin America, MOVE Concerts.

WWE Live Montevideo is scheduled to take place on December 8, 2018. The event will be held at the Antel Arena in Uruguay’s capital of Montevideo. The 10,000 seat arena was built by Uruguayan telecommunications company Antel and opened its doors just last February.

Tickets for the event will be available online through Tickantel beginning Wednesday (September 19) at 10am local time.

“WWE is excited to bring WWE live to Uruguay,” said WWE Vice President and General Manager, Latin America, Joaquin Del Rivero.

According to Del Rivero, the show, called WWE Live Montevideo will give Uruguay fans the chance to see their favorite WWE Superstars live and in action for the first time.

“WWE Live will deliver the same non-stop, family-friendly entertainment to our passionate fanbase that they know and love from our TV programming,” promised Del Rivero.

“We are excited to gather families around for a night of unforgettable live experience this December, added Fabiano de Queiroz, lead promoter of MOVE Concerts LATAM.

Currently, the following WWE Superstars are advertised for the event: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Ronda Rousey, Nia Jax, Braun Strowman, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Jinder Mahal, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy and “many more”.
