Did WWE Change WrestleMania Plans Once Again?

As seen on Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks was named as Ronda Rousey’s Royal Rumble opponent, but many of the WWE Universe were wishing for Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to be pushed towards the Championship match.

This means that Charlotte and Becky Lynch will now perhaps be included in the Women’s Royal Rumble match instead and a win there would allow either woman to push for a Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 35.

Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Carmella all face off on SmackDown Live this week to crown a new number one contender for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at The Royal Rumble. This means that one of these women could be fighting Asuka at The Rumble instead, but there is always the possibility that Charlotte and Lynch’s history could allow Carmella to pick up the victory.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer recently noted that this could be a sign that WWE has once again changed their mind when it comes to this huge women’s match and the triple threat could now take place at one of the pay-per-views between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania instead.

“It’s not official that it’s gonna be a three-way at WrestleMania, it sure seems that way, yes. I was told it’s not official, it’s under consideration and because it’s under consideration the decision was made to pull the match from the Royal Rumble. Which means they’re leaning toward it,” he said via Ringsidenews.

Could WWE be planning Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey at Elimination Chamber or Fastlane? Or will it be the match that is going to headline WrestleMania for the women for the first time?
