Sasha Banks Injury Forced WWE To Change RAW Plans
Sasha Banks took on Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble last month and even though Banks took Rousey to her limit, she was unable to capture the title for a fifth time.
There are now various reports that suggest that Banks was injured in her match with Rousey, which is why she didn’t wrestle on Monday Night Raw last week.
Banks was supposed to team with Bayley in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match last week on RAW but their match was later changed and it’s now being reported by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer that this was because The Boss wasn’t medically cleared to compete.
“Sasha Banks and Bayley were supposed to do that qualifying match last Monday and I guess they didn’t do it. So that’s why it’s this Monday because she probably wasn’t cleared,” he said via Ringsidenews.
It has already been revealed that Sasha Banks and Bayley have qualified for the Elimination Chamber match for the RAW Women’s Championship, since WWE accidentally leaked the image, so their match could take place on RAW tonight instead.
Nia Jax Responds To R-Truth Injury Claims
Nia Jax made history at the Royal Rumble when she became the first woman to enter both the male and female Rumble matches as well as being just the fourth woman to enter a men’s Royal Rumble. According to Jerry Lawler on Dinner With The King, the former Women’s Champion caused an injury as part of the show.
Reports suggested that Nia Jax injured R-Truth as part of their spot where she attacked him before taking his place in the match. Jax herself has responded to these rumors with a simple Tweet where she showed herself and R-Truth embracing backstage following their spot.
This obviously shows that Jax and Truth are still friends backstage and either Lawler exaggerated the reports of heat backstage on Jax, or the two stars were able to settle their differences.
