WWE Changes Brendan Vink’s Name to Tony Modra

This past March, Brendan Vink debuted on Monday Night RAW alongside Shane Thorne. The Aussie duo lost their debut match but then aligned with MVP to earn their first tag team victory on the red brand.

Vink’s RAW run didn’t last long as he and Thorne were both traded back to NXT in July.

Vink recently took to Twitter to announce that he will henceforth be wrestling under his new ring name, Tony Modra.

The 6’5” Superstar drew inspiration for his new ring name from famous Australian football player Tony Modra.

It is to be noted that WWE filed to trademark the name on October 20.

There’s no word on when Modra will return to in-ring action. His fellow Aussie colleague, Thorne, has rebranded himself as Slapjack as part of the RETRIBUTION faction.

Modra was previously reported to be the next big thing in the company and a personal favorite of Vince McMahon.
