WWE Looking To Change Kurt Angle’s WrestleMania Opponent?

It was revealed on Monday Night Raw that Kurt Angle would be facing his old nemesis Baron Corbin in his final wrestling match at WrestleMania next month, an announcement that was met by negativity from the WWE Universe.

Many fans believed that the company would go all out to ensure that Angle’s final match was one along the lines of Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to a Tweet from WrestleVotes, the company could now be looking to switch up the match since the negativity surrounding the announcement isn’t the way that WWE wants the former World Champion’s final bout to be seen.

Tommaso Ciampa States That A Piece Of Him Died When He Relinquished The NXT Championship

It has been a fantastic few years for Tommaso Ciampa, who has become a headline name for WWE following his shock NXT heel turn back in 2017, but his recent neck injury has forced him onto the sidelines and was the reason he relinquished the NXT Championship as part of last night’s show.

Ciampa was making waves on the main roster alongside his longtime friend and rival Johnny Gargano and WWE had some huge plans for the duo, before it was revealed that he had suffered an injury and was later forced to undergo neck surgery that could see him looking at a long bout on the sidelines.

Following last night’s show, Ciampa commented on how he felt having to hand back the title and stated that “a small piece of me died tonight.”

Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole will now battle it out in a 2 out of 3 falls match at NXT Takeover: New York next month to decide who will become the next NXT Champion.
