This year’s Labor Day edition of Monday Night RAW opened to a combustible segment featuring The Shield and the rest of the men’s locker room.

RAW kicked off with The Shield walking down to the ring to take down the newly formed alliance of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Acting General Manager “Constable” Baron Corbin brought out 30 Superstars from the men’s locker room to separate the 6 men as hell would break loose. The Hounds of Justice would break free and head backstage where they would be arrested and carried away in a police van.

The Shield eventually returned in the same police van at the end of the show and suffered a brutal assault at the hands of the heels of the men’s locker room. Rollins suffered a legitimate injury in the process.

The story that unfolded as per 205 Live General Manager Mike Rome was that the trio was brought before a Judge whereupon they got bailed.

It is worth noting that Labor Day is included in the list of public holidays in USA and all courts remain closed to observe the occasion.

One fan noted the issue on Twitter. Although the storyline is purely kayfabe, WWE received some criticism from fans on social media for executing something that isn’t quite possible on Labor Day.

Another fan sarcastically tweeted:

Going forward Vince McMahon & Co. should note these minor issues before penning the storyline on such occasions, in this case, Labor Day.

The Shield is currently scheduled to take on Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre in a 6-Man Tag Team Match at the WWE Super Show-Down on October 6, 2018 in Australia.

Meanwhile, Strowman will be cashing in his Money In The Bank contract to face Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship on September 6, 2018 at Hell in a Cell.
