WWE Edits Roman Reigns Out Of WrestleMania Footage, Removes Dean Ambrose From Money In The Bank Replay

It’s Money in the Bank season and given the fact that Dean Ambrose is a former Money in the Bank winner and Roman Reigns has been cashed in on by Seth Rollins, it was always going to be hard for the company to replay some of the best Money in the Bank cash-ins without including the two stars.

While Reigns is still contracted to WWE, rumors are circulating that Vince McMahon has banned any reference to the former World Champion backstage or on-screen. Reigns made a last-minute decision to withdraw from his Universal Championship match at WrestleMania last month given his recent health issues which would deem him as high risk in the current COVID-19 climate.

WWE then added Braun Strowman to the match without explanation and The Monster Among Men walked out victorious. Reigns hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since March and the company could be sending a strong message based on last night’s footage since Reigns was completely blanked out of Rollins’ WrestleMania 31 cash-in.

WWE interestingly made it seem as though Rollins pinned Brock Lesnar to win the Championship back in 2015 when they replayed the segment last night on Raw.

Reigns isn’t the only star to be edited out of footage this week since the company released the full match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins from Money in the Bank back in 2016. The match is now available to watch in its entirety on YouTube, but the company made the decision to cut the match just as Ambrose is about to cash in his contract.

It seems to be petty once again on WWE’s behalf since this was the end of the show and a huge part of the match, but Ambrose’s recent move over to AEW means that WWE has started to edit him out of historic Shield footage.
