WWE Employees Clueless About Recent NXT Call-Ups
Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Aleister Black made their main roster debuts this week on Monday Night RAW.
The four top NXT stars wrestled on SmackDown Live the following night.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed the matter and revealed that not only were Superstars taken off-guard with the recent call-ups, but there are employees who are totally clueless about the entire scenario.
“Vince made this decision in the last couple of days. I mean literally, there were people there last night who had no idea why this happened. There were people there last night that had no idea if these people were call-ups.”
“There are a lot of people who don’t know what’s going on. They figure that today during the SmackDown production meeting that everything will be made a little bit more clear, but there’s a lot of people that don’t know what’s going on. So Vince just decides to do things and decides sometimes not to do things.”
Plan For Lacey Evans
At Elimination Chamber, Lacey Evans made a brief appearance before heading backstage. While Evans is reportedly in for a “super big push”, the direction that WWE is going to take could fall in the ‘heel’ territory.
On PW Insider Elite audio, Mike Johnson revealed:
“Lacey Evans came out, walked the aisle and walked away. I was told that this is just part of a slow roll-out to show the audience and gonna get them a little pissed at her.”
Rey Mysterio Jokes About Donald Trump Storyline
During a recent interview with Al Jazeera, WWE legend Rey Mysterio talked about how today’s situation would look like had he represented Donald Trump in the epic Hair vs. Hair match at WrestleMania 23.
“Imagine some of those images popping up at this time if I was that person [WWE went with]. It would have been interesting to see those pictures floating around these days; Donald Trump with the Mexican-American wrestler Rey Mysterio.”
