The Yemen based branch of the extremist group Al-Qaeda has warned the Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman for allowing WWE events in the conservative kingdom. They claimed that his attempt at westernization is “opening the door wide for corruption and moral degradation.”

According to The Independent, a Friday bulletin from the terrorist group read “[Foreign] disbelieving wrestlers exposed their privates and on most of them was the sign of the cross, in front of a mixed gathering of young Muslim men and women”

The statement has reportedly made reference to the recently concluded Greatest Royal Rumble, which was held in the Saudi city of Jeddah in April this year. It was the first event as part of a long-term partnership between WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

After becoming the crown prince last year, Mohammed bin Salman has opened cinemas, lifted the driving ban for women and has also publicly criticized the kingdom’s religious establishment for being out of touch with the times.
