WWE has been handed a lawsuit by Josue Romero, stating that their website is not accessible for members of the WWE Universe with visual disabilities.
The lawsuit was filed on October 6th and reportedly alleges that WWE has denied equal access to the WWE Shop website.
The report from HeelByNature states that “Romero is a visually-impaired and legally blind person who requires screen-reading software to read website content using his computer.”
The lawsuit is also alleging that “is not equally accessible to blind and visually-impaired consumers,” and this is in direct violation of the ADA.
Romero is looking to force WWE to change their policies and procedures on their official website to allow it to become more accessible to blind and visually impaired customers.
Romero is also looking to take the lawsuit to trial and to present in front of a judge, he is also asking to have his legal costs covered.
