It was recently announced that this year’s WrestleMania will feature an all female battle royal that is done in the memory of the Fabulous Moolah.

A lot of her former trainees and people who worked and knew her back in the day have spoken out about the kind of person that she was. The Mirror has reported that some fans have been expressing their dislike at this battle royal being named after a person with such a checkered past.

With how PC and worried about their public perception the WWE has been in the last few years, it is quite surprising that they would name the battle royal after someone who has not been shown in the best light the last few years.

This week’s Wrestling Observer Radio Show has reported that even though it has not yet been announced, plans are still for this year’s WrestleMania to host the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.

The Andre The Giant Battle Royal has been a main part of the WrestleMania pre show and it gives a lot of the talent a WrestleMania moment. While the event has not been promoted, on the radio show it said it would feature wrestlers from both RAW and Smackdown.

Is two battle royals in one night a little overkill, especially so close to the Royal Rumble?
