WWE has filed several trademarks for the nicknames of three of their top Talent.
Heel By Nature is reporting that WWE filed trademarks, dated November 17, for the following phrases: “The Big Dog”, “The Goddess”, and “The Queen”.
All three of the phrases are associated with and have been used to refer the top WWE superstars. “The Big Dog” is the nickname that has been used for Roman Reigns for some time now, though he’s usually called the “Tribal Chief” of late.
Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss has been referred to as “The Goddess” since she moved up from NXT, usually when she has held or been pursuing a Women’s Championship.
“The Queen”, of course, is Charlotte Flair who has always leaned on the idea that she’s “wrestling royalty” and superior to her opponents.
The filings for these phrases state that they are for use in “entertainment services, namely wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media. . .”
It’s interesting that WWE is trademarking Reigns and Bliss’ nicknames now, as they are both involved in storylines where the nicknames are not really relevant. Flair, on the other hand, has been off TV since June.
