There were reports earlier this week that suggested that former Cruiserweight Champion Neville has been released from his WWE contract. Neville hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since October 2017 after he lost his Championship to Enzo Amore.
It was then speculated that Neville wasn’t happy with his position in the company and that he had walked out as a means of protest.
Over the past year, WWE has attempted to hold a number of meetings with their former star but they were unable to persuade him to return to the company where he is a former NXT Champion.
Neville himself and WWE are still yet to publically comment on the situation, but a number of Indy wrestlers have thrown their hat in the ring when it comes to facing Neville in the near future now that he is seemingly not bound by a contract with WWE.
WWE themselves haven’t confirmed his departure, but today he was moved over to the alumni section of their website, which is usually only used for superstars who have left the company. With ‘All In’ set to take place this weekend, it’s becoming more and more likely that Neville could make a surprise appearance as part of the show.
The WWE Universe haven’t seen the master of the Red Arrow in action since the fall of last year and have been crossing their fingers when it comes to him making a return.
Neville’s WWE career may be over, but it’s reported that he has gained a lot of muscle whilst he’s been absent from TV and could easily slot back into the Independent Circuit that he was part of before he originally signed for WWE back in 2012.
