Paul Heyman is no longer the Executive Director of Monday Night RAW. The legendary ECW icon who was appointed to the prestigious role last year has now been fired from that position, especially at a time when WWE is trimming their staff backstage.
WWE announced on Twitter that Heyman is no longer the Executive Director of RAW.
The creative teams of RAW and SmackDown have been grouped together and will be spearheaded by Bruce Prichard from hereon. Heyman won’t be involved in the creative process anymore, but he will continue to appear as Brock Lesnar’s Advocate in the ring.
Heyman’s firing can have more consequences than one may think. For instance, the legendary manager had been pushing certain Superstars as his top projects, but now that the creative teams have been consolidated with Prichard in charge, things can change drastically in the next few months.
It’s safe to assume that Heyman’s removal as RAW boss can lead to the burial of a few of those select Superstars under Prichard’s reign.
In June 2019, Heyman and Eric Bischoff we’re named as the Executive Directors of RAW and SmackDown. Now that both icons have been fired from those roles, Prichard’s status will change dramatically with this new announcement.
