It was reported earlier this week that WWE Hall of Famer Edge had been removed from the preview on WWE.com ahead of the show which left many WWE fans questioning whether or not the former 11-time World Champion had been dropped from the show.

PWInsider recently confirmed that this wasn’t the case since Edge is still expected to be in attendance, but he won’t be hosting his usual “Cutting Edge show” since WWE has taken that out of all previews of the show.

Edge hosted the show on a special installment of SmackDown when the brand was celebrating their 900th episode back in 2015, which is why he was expected to be part of the same segment this year.

The site reports that it is currently unknown as to what the Hall of Famer will be doing as part of the celebrational episode, but he is expected to be part of the festivities.

Edge spent a large part of his career on SmackDown Live and was then forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship back in 2011 when it was revealed that he was struggling with cervical spinal stenosis.

Edge was then inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the following year and has since moved on to a career in the acting business. Edge has returned to WWE a number of times over the years alongside his former Tag Team partner Christian, who has seemingly been left off the show as well.

Edge and Christian most recently had their own show on the WWE Network but the former Champion was unable to make Raw 25 back in January because of other commitments given that he still has a busy life outside of WWE, so this will be the first time in more than a year that the WWE Universe has seen The Rated R Superstar in person.
