WWE Hall of Famer Road Warrior Animal is in a pretty bad mood with the tag team division on Monday Night RAW.
Over the past few years, WWE has faced massive criticism for not delivering anything constructive to RAW’s tag team division. Many a time fans have expressed their resentment stating how the company has no particular direction planned for the talented division and is thus scripting storylines on a weekly basis.
The WWE Universe heavily lashed out after the Survivor Series pay-per-view event that featured a 10-on-10 Elimination Tag Team Match during the kickoff show.
RAW was represented by 5 teams of which the majority didn’t have any significant momentum including the once-promising Ascension who are now seen as lower-card main roster Superstars and aren’t at all relevant.
On Chair Shots to the Cranium, Animal recently expressed his sheer dissatisfaction while discussing the tag team division on the red brand. It’s no secret that RAW has a tendency of being in a state of confusion and it seems that the tag team division just made the list.
“Well, what you see is they have a habit of doing with tag team wrestling today, they don’t establish who the top dog tag team is and they don’t ever establish who the heel team is. Everyone can’t be equal. That’s not life, that’s not reality, that’s not tag team wrestling”
“They started off with The Revival being strong and now they kill them. The Authors of Pain, yes they just beat one guy, Seth Rollins, to become tag team champions, but, what have they done before that? They’ve gotten beat! You can’t keep beating teams and then have them get a token win every now and then. You have to establish who’s the dominant guys. There is no team that stands out as being the dominant team today. That’s the problem.”
