Since his return to WWE, Drew McIntyre has been on a roll and is now on his way to becoming the company’s next big star.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry once again delivered his humble and honest opinions on SiriusXM Busted Open Radio. The World’s Strongest Man talked about McIntyre and predicted the RAW Superstar becoming World Champion next year.
“Ever since Drew came back and we stuck him with the grown ass man Drew McIntyre moniker, he has been stellar. His promos are priceless and he is unrivaled.”
“Drew is grabbing the business and he’s doing things that a lot of the young people are not doing and that’s why he’s in this conversation that we’re talking about, as where he’s gonna be in the next year or two.”
“I think that he will be champion. I think before next year is over, Drew McIntyre will be world champion.”

After an unceremonious exit from WWE in 2014, McIntyre went to IMPACT, PWG and WCPW where he evolved drastically as a professional wrestler and made a bigger name for himself. Since returning to the company in 2017, the Scottish Psychopath captured the NXT Championship and then made the main roster jump at the 2018 Superstar Shakeup.
CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon is high on McIntyre for he looks, smells, talks and wrestles like a champion and has championship material written all over him. Drew’s new bold wrestling persona and ruthless aggression have impressed the WWE Universe as the former Intercontinental Champion is set for a gigantic 2019.
This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW saw McIntyre defeat WWE legend Kurt Angle in a spectacular match where the Olympic Gold Medalist reportedly passed the torch to the Scottish wrestler.
McIntyre is currently scheduled for Survivor Series as a member of the RAW Men’s Team.
