WWE has announced new details surrounding the inaugural WWE ID Championship Tournament, which kicks off during WrestleMania 41 week in Las Vegas. The tournament will begin with events hosted by GCW on April 16 at The Collective and FSW on April 18 following SmackDown.



The tournament features a double elimination format—two losses and a competitor is out. All current WWE ID prospects will participate, with the men’s and women’s championships up for grabs. 



Notably, non-WWE ID talents are also eligible to compete, and if one wins a title, they will be awarded a WWE ID contract on the spot. Once crowned, the WWE ID Champions will defend their titles across independent promotions, further expanding WWE&#8217;s reach into the indie scene.
