WrestleMania 35 is now just six months away and given the fact that Roman Reigns will be unable to main event the show much like he has over the past four years means that WWE needs to pull out all the stops to ensure that this is still their biggest event of the year.

There are rumors currently circulating that Shawn Michaels could be wrestling at WrestleMania next year for the first time in nine years, whilst The Undertaker is also expected to have his final match.

Joe Peisich recently stated on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast that WWE could be looking to bring in a huge name for next year’s WrestleMania, to follow in the footsteps of Ronda Rousey.

“It looks like Stephanie, you know they recruited Ronda Rousey — they got. They want Serena Williams, yes Serena Williams — I’m not saying to wrestle… but they want Serena Williams to appear in WWE. Look for that to possibly happen at WrestleMania,” he said via Ringsidenews.

Serena Williams is one of the biggest names in tennis and would be a fantastic attraction for WWE to have on The Grandest Stage of them all. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that she will be wrestling as part of the show since she’s only got a few months to prepare and has never laced up a pair of wrestling boots in her life.

WWE often brings in stars for WrestleMania with one of the most recent stars being Shaquille O’Neil who was part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal before he was supposed to face The Big Show in a one-on-one match but the match was seemingly canceled before it could take place.

Given the bank that WWE is being paid for hosting pay-per-view events in Saudi Arabia and the billion-dollar television deal that WWE has inked with FOX and NBC, the company has enough dough to cough up for bringing Serena Williams to the Women’s Division.
