WWE Looking to Trademark Ring Names “Omos” and “Mansoor”

WWE has filed trademarks for the ring names of two promising talents on Raw and 205 Live.

On January 5, WWE filed trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for “Omos” and “Mansoor”.

The filings state that the trademarks are for “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer”, which is the standard usage filing that WWE does for ring names and nicknames of their performers.

Currently, “Omos” is being used by Jordan Omogbehin, a 7’3 tall former college basketball player who signed with WWE in 2018. As Omos, he is the imposing presence behind AJ Styles on Raw. He began accompanying Styles to the ring last October.

Omos debuted as a silent presence behind Styles and wasn’t even named till Survivor Series; however, he has since been getting more chances to show off a personality and his physicality.

Mansoor, on the other hand, is a Saudi Arabian talent who signed with WWE in 2018. He is currently a regular presence on 205 Live where he is in the middle of an impressive winning streak.  He has been unbeaten on the show since he debuted in November 2019.
