WWE Mixed Match Challenge Result: The Finals

Facebook Watch exclusive WWE Mixed Match Challenge tournament came to a close in a grand fashion with WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz teaming up with the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka taking on the Robe Warriors (Bobby Roode & SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte) in the finals.

Team Awe-ska picked up the victory over the Robe Warriors to win the tournament in the finals after The Miz pinned Roode courtesy of an assist by Asuka. Bobby had Miz set up in position for a Glorious DDT when Asuka rushed into the ring and kicked Bobby in the back. The Miz capitalized by hitting a Skull Crushing Finale on Roode to score the deciding pinfall.

Asuka’s crucial assist in the finals marked a continued theme throughout the tournament of saving the matchup and also her winning streak. The victory took Asuka’s undefeated streak one step further.  In what has been stated to be one of the best matches of the tournament, the finals also witnessed Charlotte square-off against Asuka for one final time before their title match at WrestleMania 34.

As the show opened, the announcing team strongly encouraged the audience to interact on social media. Big E and Ms. Money In The Bank, Carmella were shown to be present in the comments section to hype things up.

Rescue Dogs Rock, the charity team represented by Team Awe-ska in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament received $100,000 for their team winning the tourney while all the other charities that were involved received a handsome $10,000 each.

Renee Young did a post-match interview with the winning team. The Miz cut a babyface promo saying that this was the best week of his life with the birth of his child. The A Lister also went on to congratulate all the charities including Rescue Dogs Rock before making a bold statement of retaining his Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor at WrestleMania 34. Asuka also stated that she would defeat Charlotte and walk out as the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. The duo then closed the show with their “Awe-ska” catchphrase.
