Keith Lee kicked off the Limitless Era in NXT, as the dual champion cut a promo at the beginning of the show addressing his victory over Adam Cole last week. Lee brought out his best friend Dominik Dijakovic and proposed a title fight between the two stars. Dijakovic accepted the challenge, and the duo fought in yet another classic later in the night.
Dijkavoic succumbed to the Big Bang Catastrophe once again, but gave a delightful performance, in what could be one of his final matches on the black-and-gold brand.
Dijakovic was later attacked by Karrion Kross, and a match between the two was set up for next week. Kross and Scarlett also laid out a warning for Lee after his match.
Dijakovic was rumored to join the RAW brand a few weeks ago, which explains his limited appearances on NXT. Next week could be his final match in an NXT ring, as WWE searches for new stars for the main roster.
Io Shirai also defended her title this week on NXT, taking on Tegan Nox. Shirai managed to keep the title around her waist by defeating the Welsh star with her trademark moonsault. Shirai was attacked by Dakota Kai after the match, who looks set to be the next challenger for the Women’s Championship.
