The show kicks off with a recap of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.
Bianca Belair vs. Deonna Purrazzo
Belair powerslams a debuting Purrazzo and goes for a standing moonsault but Purrazzo quickly moves out of harm’s way and hits her opponent with a bicycle kick followed by a low dropkick.
Purrazzo tries to lock Belair in the armbar, but Belair sends Purrazzo into the ring post and hits her opponent with the Torture Rack for the pinfall .
Backstage Velveteen Dream asks “Queen” Cathy what she is up to on Wednesday and suggests her to tune in to the WWE Network at 8 P.M. to find out what his victory over EC3 means to him.
Backstage, new NXT North American Champion Ricochet is interviewed. Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly stroll up asking Ricochet to shut up. A suited-up Pete Dunne also shows up and the NXT Tag Team Champions back off.
Ricochet says “thanks, mate.” Dunne turns down the gratitude saying he’s not Ricochet’s “mate” and declares that Ricochet is carrying around a piece of gold that he wants.
A surveillance clip is shown that apparently features Nikki Cross standing on a rooftop and watching what went down during former NXT Champion Aleister Black’s mysterious attack in the parking lot.

Pete Dunne (c) vs. Zack Gibson for the NXT UK Championship
Gibson is bleeding a bit from his mouth and so is Dunne. Crowd goes wild with “NXT” chants. Dunne nearly taps out to Gibson, but somehow manages to use his teeth to bite the bottom rope and breaks out of the submission hold. Dunne recovers, snaps Gibson’s fingers and hits Bitter End to retain his title.
