After AEW’s success with bringing in wrestlers as fans in the crowd, WWE followed suit last week and brought in the trainees of the WWE Performance Center in the crowd.
WWE had a long set of tapings last week, and the trainees had to be in the audience section for the whole duration. With no chairs provided, the future stars had to stand and cheer for all the tapings, which hasn’t gone down well with them.
After three days of a ten-hour shoot schedule, the trainees were quite exhausted, and according to Fightful.com, they are quite upset with the company.
After the tapings, they were once again brought in for the Velveteen Dream vs Adam Cole taping, which will be a part of NXT Takeover: In Your House.
The shoot for the same was delayed due to a downpour, and the shooting didn’t begin until midnight.
“When Performance Center recruits were called upon for the Velveteen Dream vs. Adam Cole match. The recruits were asked to show up at 7, but the downpour in the area kept delaying things. As it turns out, most were waiting around until midnight before they actually filmed the In Your House match”
AEW used the formula to great success and it felt natural, but WWE’s version has been rather disappointing and seems forced at times.
