WWE called a Press Conference last week ahead of SmackDown, where COO Triple H was able to announce two huge matches for the show which takes place in less than three week’s time.
Crown Jewel takes place in Saudi Arabia on October 31st and already boasts matches that will see Tyson Fury take on Braun Strowman as well as Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship defense against Cain Velasquez and Team Hulk Hogan vs Team Ric Flair in a five-on-five tag team match which includes superstars of Flair and Hogan’s choice.
So far only Seth Rollins and Rusev have been announced for Team Hogan, while Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, and Randy Orton have been announced for Team Flair. Earlier today, the company decided to add to the show with two huge matches that include a singles debut and the biggest Tag Team Turmoil match in history.
WWE announced on their official website that Mansoor, The Saudi Arabian star who won 50-man Battle Royal back in June at Super ShowDown, will be making his TV singles debut against free agent Cesaro, while almost every tag team in WWE will compete for the title of Best Tag Team In The World.
Raw Tag Team Champions, Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival, The New Day, The Viking Warriors, The B-Team, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party and The OC will compete in this groundbreaking free-for-all match for the chance to hold such an impressive accolade.
At present, there are just five matches announced for the controversial show in the Middle East, but the poster for the show that is being advertised in Saudi Arabia also includes Roman Reigns and The Fiend, which means that many more matches are expected to be announced ahead of the event in two weeks’ time.
Like before, the Women in WWE are unlikely to be part of the event.
