The Showcase Of Immortals goes Hollywood next year as WWE has officially announced Los Angeles as the host of WrestleMania 37. The biggest WWE pay-per-view event will emanate from the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on March 28, 2021.
Several months ago, Los Angeles Times’ Arash Markazi had reported that Los Angeles was in the running to host WrestleMania 37 and WWE had been laying the groundwork to hold their gala PPV in California.
“There is nothing quite like WrestleMania Week,” said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. “It is a one-of-a-kind event that provides an economic boost to the region — and fans from around the world will find a city that is ready to host them and welcomes the spectacle.”
WWE had originally planned to run WrestleMania in Los Angeles in 2022 with the goal to surpass the overall attendance of Super Bowl LVI. However, it appears that the City Of Angels had the final say and has managed to pin WrestleMania to a 2021 schedule.
Los Angeles previously hosted WrestleMania events in 1986 (alongside New York and Chicago), 1991 and 2005.
