Natalya Was Originally Supposed to Face Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania

The current WrestleMania main event looks set to see Charlotte Flair take on Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship, a match that is expected to change in the near future to include Becky Lynch.

The match itself has changed a number of times over the past few months, but Ringsidenews is now reporting that WWE’s original plan for the main event of their biggest show of the year was for Natalya to take on Ronda Rousey.

This was until Nattie’s father Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart passed away and WWE decided to cancel Natalya’s heel turn. This was when Charlotte was penciled in to face Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship instead, but when WWE was forced to give this match away at Survivor Series, Becky Lynch became her intended opponent.

Lynch then went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble to book her place in the match against Rousey, but now she’s lost that chance since she’s been suspended for 60 days.

Natalya has also recently hinted that she could be going after Asuka and the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which means that Nattie will still be included in this year’s Show of Shows.

Akira Tozawa Throws Shade At Neville

Neville was once The King of The Cruiserweights, but after becoming increasingly frustrated with the way WWE was booking his character, Neville walked away and then waited for 10 months to be released by WWE.

Neville is now performing on the Independent Circuit as Pac and recently signed a deal with AEW but it appears that WWE is yet to forget about the impact he made on 205 Live, since Akira Tozawa referenced Neville as part of last night’s show.

This isn’t expected to lead to anything that includes the former WWE star, instead it’s probably just WWE attempting to throw shade at Neville, since the company is probably still annoyed with the way he left.
